This is a pretty good example of the posi-youth hardcore that was 
coming out of the DC/NYC area at the time. Inspired by such bands as
Gorilla Biscuits, Youth of Today and most of all Minor Threat, Turning
Point churned out mellow straight-edge hard-core with an emotional slant.
Its easy to see how they influenced bands such as Lifetime, Promise Ring 
and Texas is the Reason.


The hardcore is on the lighter side, and although it's straight-edge it's 
not very macho. This is a very extensive discography containing rare comp 
tracks and bootlegged material. It might be wise to check this CD out 
because it's always good to hear the semi-obscure bands that influenced 
your favorite bands of today.
